Is the forklift oil leaking and faulty? You may not have replaced the oil seal!
Forklift oil seals can be divided into forklift hydraulic cylinder oil seals, forklift multi-way valve oil seals, forklift valve oil seals, etc. The following will share with you various forklift oil seal replacement methods.
1. How to replace the oil seal of the forklift hydraulic cylinder
1. First take out the brake springs or brake screws at both ends of the forklift hydraulic cylinder, or remove the screws on the top of some cylinders.
2. The guide sleeves or one guide sleeve on both sides of the Panasonic, then take out the seal ring of the guide sleeve and replace it with a new wear-resistant oil seal.
3. The piston rod inlet oil seal in the forklift hydraulic cylinder is replaced at the same time. If the forklift seal ring is deformed or aging, it is difficult to remove it. You can soak the seal ring in boiling water for 10 minutes to take it out.
Second, the replacement method of the multi-way valve oil seal of the forklift
1. Disassemble the operating lever of the multi-way valve, remove the circlip and fixed pin.
2. Use a Phillips screwdriver to open the two screws on the multi-way valve, and then open the cover.
3. Take out the oil seal or O-type wear-resistant ring inside, and install a new oil seal or O-type wear-resistant ring. Note that it must be installed in place, then cover the cover, lock the screw, and install the fixing pin. It is connected with the circlip and the operating handle.
4. Test run, check and test, after no problem, you can give it to the forklift driver for use.
Third, the replacement of the forklift valve oil seal
When it has been confirmed that the smoke emitted from the exhaust pipe of the forklift is blue, and the oil loss of the forklift accelerates, it can be concluded that the forklift valve oil seal is malfunctioning. In this case, we recommend that you remove the forklift engine cylinder head handle. Replace the other valve oil seals at the same time. The replacement method of the forklift valve oil seal is as follows:
1. Remove the cylinder head of the forklift engine, hold the valve with a hard object, and then perform operations such as replacing the valve oil seal.
2. It is also possible to replace the forklift valve oil seal without removing the forklift engine cylinder head. To replace the intake and exhaust valve oil seals of a certain cylinder, you can hang the valve with a tough string. If necessary, remove the spark plug of the cylinder and introduce high-pressure air from the spark plug hole to hold the valve, or rotate the engine and let the piston top Hold the valve and disassemble and assemble the valve oil seal. Such replacement can avoid problems such as damage to the cylinder head gasket in the engine cylinder head of the forklift truck, confusion of timing, and contamination or defect of the coolant, and can also save replacement time.
Fourth, the replacement of the forklift oil seal
1. The number of oil seals to be replaced should be prepared before replacement;
2. From the opening of the oil seal to the assembly, it must be kept clean;
3. Before assembling the forklift, check the oil seal, measure whether the size of each part of the oil seal is consistent with the size of the shaft cavity, or check whether the part number of the oil seal is correct.
4. Check again whether the lip of the oil seal is damaged or deformed, and whether the spring has fallen off or rusted. To prevent the forklift oil seal from being placed flat during transportation and being affected by external force squeezing and impact, and destroying its roundness.
5. In terms of installation and operation skills, you can touch it lightly with your hand to feel smooth and round.
6. Do not tear open the packaging bag of the forklift oil seal too early before installation to prevent debris from adhering to the surface of the oil seal and being brought into the body of the replaced forklift parts.
7. Before installation, a proper amount of hydraulic oil/grease can be applied between the forklift oil seal lips for lubrication to prevent dry abrasion of the lip when the shaft starts in an instant, and affect the interference of the lip. Hydraulic oil/grease should be assembled as soon as possible.
8. The oil seal seat with the oil seal installed, if it is not installed immediately, it is recommended to cover it with a cloth to prevent foreign matter from adhering to the oil seal. The hands or tools that apply hydraulic oil/grease to the oil seal of the forklift must be clean.
9. During the installation process of the forklift oil seal, the sharp edges should be avoided, and the seals should be straightened to avoid twisting and skewing. It is recommended to use hydraulic equipment or sleeve tools for installation. The pressure should not be too high, the speed should be uniform and slow.
10. During the transition installation on the stepped shaft, use copper sheet to guide excessively or use plastic tape to protect the transition, so as not to damage the oil seal of the forklift.
