SOCMA supplies construction telehandlers for unloading, material transfer and elevated placement on building and infrastructure projects. We assess the load at its delivery point, including the height and forward reach needed, before proposing a model and attachment.
For a project purchase, send us the material delivery tasks rather than a lifting-height target alone. The machine must handle the required payload in the configuration and working position assigned to it.
Prepare a Record for Each Material Delivery Point
A pallet unloaded beside a delivery truck and the same pallet placed behind a building edge create different selection requirements. Record the pickup and destination for each task, including the position from which the telehandler can approach.
|
Task information |
Details to provide |
|
Payload as lifted |
Total mass of the material, pallet, stillage or other support carried with it. |
|
Placement height |
The receiving level above the machine's proposed standing surface. |
|
Forward reach |
The horizontal distance to the load position, using the reference points on the relevant load chart. |
|
Obstacles and setbacks |
Walls, slab edges, scaffolding or other restrictions between the machine and the destination. |
|
Attachment and setup |
The intended attachment and any configuration conditions that affect the applicable lifting chart. |
If several tasks govern the purchase, provide all of them. The highest placement and the heaviest load may occur on different lifts; both need to be covered in the equipment assessment.
Establish Capacity at the Placement Point
Rated capacity, maximum lifting height and maximum forward reach describe separate limits. They should not be read as a promise that the full rated load can be placed at the maximum height and distance simultaneously.
We need the load chart for the selected model, attachment and setup to establish the available capacity at the requested point. Where stabilizers are part of the configuration, the chart conditions must match their specified state. A change in attachment or setup can require a different assessment.
Review SOCMA Models Against the Construction Task
HNT4007 class for lower height material supply
The HNT4007-4Z construction telehandler is published in the 4-ton, 7-meter class. It is a starting point for reviewing unloading and lower-height material placement requirements. Check the payload at the requested outreach together with machine dimensions and attachment details.
HNT4017 class for higher delivery positions
The HNT4017-4Z telescopic forklift is listed in the 4-ton, 17-meter class. When a project involves higher receiving levels, we use the individual placement records to review whether this arrangement fits. The delivery position's capacity must still be confirmed from the applicable chart.
HNT20010 class for heavier construction components
Our HNT20010-4Z heavy duty telehandler is published in the 20-ton, 10-meter class. For heavier materials or components, we review their dimensions, pickup arrangement and required placement coordinates. The model class provides a shortlist reference; it does not establish capacity for every boom position.
Assess the Access Route and the Lifting Position
Provide the entrance dimensions, narrow passages and turning areas along the intended route. Temporary works can change these clearances as construction progresses. Include the dimensions of the carried material when showing how the machine will reach its working position.
The ground at the lifting position needs a separate review from the travel route. Tell us about the prepared surface, bearing limitations, gradients and available space for the required setup. A drive or traction specification alone does not establish the suitability of a particular lifting location.
Include the Attachment in the Equipment Selection
Specify the materials to be handled and how they are supported. Fork dimensions, carriage interface, attachment mass and hydraulic functions can affect the proposed equipment. Every attachment included in the order needs its own compatibility and capacity information for the intended task.
Use our construction telehandler range to begin the model discussion. We then review the requested attachments with the project data, including any change between pallet unloading and material placement duties.
Agree Equipment for the Construction Programme
Give us the project stages and the date by which equipment must be available on site. For an overseas equipment quotation, identify the destination, delivery responsibilities and the receiving team's arrangements for unloading and initial familiarization.
Record the agreed powertrain, attachments, lifting charts and supplied documentation in the offer. A distributor order or multi-unit purchase should also identify the configuration common to the fleet and any differences between machines. Service information and the initial parts requirement can then be matched to those configurations.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can the machine be quoted with a defined attachment package
List each attachment and its intended task in the enquiry. We can identify the proposed package and the compatibility information needed for it. Optional attachments and their supporting documents should be stated separately in the offer.
Can several units be ordered to a consistent specification
Provide the required quantity and any site-specific differences. We can discuss a common configuration and record the selected components in the commercial and technical documents. Agreed alternatives should be identified before the order is confirmed.
What if a material delivery point changes after model selection
Send the revised payload, height, forward distance and access details. The proposed machine and attachment should be reassessed against that task. The earlier selection remains a reference only for the conditions on which it was based.
Request a Construction Telehandler Proposal
To send a construction telehandler enquiry, provide the placement records, a site sketch and the expected equipment arrival date. Include the material dimensions and intended attachments. SOCMA can then review the model options and prepare a proposal around the work your project requires.
