Mr. Guo said that the orders in the first half of 2021 have exceeded the whole of 2020. Heavy forklifts are equipped with domestic high-quality engines. In addition to hydraulic components, electric heavy-duty forklifts have also independently developed an electronic control system, realizing the domestic production of heavy-duty material handling equipment.
Mr. Guo believes that “innovation-driven and self-reliant” has been the core competitiveness of SOCMA for more than 10 years. At present, the supply chains of the four major categories of products are all built on China's existing industrial platform, and in particular, the core components are completely independent of imports.
When asked why he had to develop independently instead of using imported parts, Mr. Guo said that key parts such as bridges and boxes were generally supplied by foreign manufacturers for many years. At the beginning, under the leadership of Chairman Guo Junyang, based on the positioning "to revitalize the national heavy-duty material handling industry as its duty, customer demand-oriented, and committed to the research and development and production of localized, cost-effective heavy-duty logistics handling machinery and construction machinery" .
On the telescopic forklift assembly line, Mr. Guo pointed to the two-section double-armed container-entry telescopic forklift that had been painted and said: “The 18-ton double-arm container-entry telescopic forklift of SOCMA has a rated lifting capacity of 16 tons to 18 tons. It is the first domestic innovative product, with optional forks, lifting beams and other attachments, which can be used in container operations and is welcomed by domestic and foreign merchants and users."
