With the country's strategic and important goal of environmental protection and green mountains and waters, we believe that electrified construction machinery will be a trend. In the next ten years It should be the golden window period for electrified construction machinery.

    Reporter: At present, South China Heavy Industry is one of the earliest enterprises to invest in the research and development of new energy construction machinery in China. Could you please introduce what achievements South China Heavy Industry has achieved in new energy technology? Have these achievements been transformed into the core competitiveness of the product?

    Guo Dong: We have been investing in electrification research and development since 2017, and it has been four years now. In the past four years, we have produced pure electric construction machinery series, extended-range construction machinery series, and cable-type and dual-power-supply excavators. Series, in the research and development of the entire electric construction machinery, in the core technology, we have been in the powertrain control technology, composite energy storage technology, multi-mode power supply technology, mechatronics matching, energy recovery, high-voltage safety technology reliability and failure Diagnosis and key components, including motor drive system, electric transmission power coupling and shifting technology, etc., we have achieved rich results and laid a solid foundation for electrified construction machinery.

    Reporter: Enterprises in the field of construction machinery are now ushering in a wave of technological innovation. Enterprises are vigorously promoting digitalization, intelligence and unmanned operation. How will South China Heavy Industry meet this wave and what layout will it make?

    Guo Dong: In addition to electrification, we are also doing intelligent and unmanned research and development, including the data platform for electric construction machinery. In the future, we will consolidate the work of electrification, and then on this basis, we will continue to promote the development of intelligent, unmanned and data-based platforms.

    Reporter: Some people predict that the sales volume of forklifts in China will reach 700,000 units in 2020. However, small-tonnage forklifts are the mainstream. Lightweight is one of the important trends in the development of forklifts. Has South China Heavy Industry considered this market? What about the market entering the small tonnage forklift market?

    Guo Dong: Just as we didn't want to get involved in traditional construction machinery, we never thought of doing a small forklift. Because the competition in this market is very fierce, under the circumstance of very thin profit, it is not conducive to our growth after entering as an innovative company, so unless there is a revolutionary breakthrough in the small forklift market in the future, then we may enter Check it out, otherwise we won't be making small forklifts in the future.

      Guo Dong: The epidemic that started last year to the present has actually affected all construction machinery counterparts to a greater or lesser extent, not just our industry. All industries in the country have been seriously affected. However, thanks to the country's strong epidemic prevention and control measures, the country's economy has recovered quickly. I believe that the construction machinery industry will soon have a good turnaround in terms of export and export. At this stage, most of the peers, including We ourselves are doing live broadcasts through Facebook, Twitter, Whatsapp, and LinkedIn, so I think the biggest impact of the epidemic this year is that in terms of export sales, the influence and role of live broadcasts is becoming more and more obvious.

    Guo Dong: South China Heavy Industry started with the localization of heavy-duty forklifts. We are also the first company in China to fully localize all core components of heavy-duty forklifts. This road is difficult, but in the past ten years, we have made domestically produced forklifts. The reliability, stability and core components of the heavy-duty forklift are still pretty good, but the ceiling of the heavy-duty forklift is too low, and the market demand is small, so on this basis, we invested in construction machinery four years ago. The research and development of electrification, so on the basis of localization, we will do electrification, and our South China Heavy Industry will eventually transform into a company with new energy construction machinery as the main strategic direction.
