BYD forklifts won the European Logistics Environmental Protection Award

Recently, BYD helped the British fruit processor Cottage Farms win the prestigious logistics environmental protection award in the European forklift industry with its outstanding operating performance of zero-emission pure electric forklifts.

Cottage Farms is located in Kent, UK. It mainly provides fresh fruit processing services for food chains, with customers all over the UK and around the world. Cottage Farms demonstrated to the jury the factory's efforts to reduce carbon emissions as much as possible in its daily operations, and BYD pure electric forklifts played an indispensable role in it.

In addition to installing solar panels and providing a clean source of electricity for factory operations, Cottage Farms is the first to transform the original forklifts powered by fuel or lead-acid batteries into a brand new BYD pure electric forklift. Thanks to BYD's leading vehicle and battery technology, the vehicle is more flexible in driving and operating efficiency is significantly improved. At the same time, these forklifts also have a fast charging function and have a long battery life. Compared with traditional forklifts of the same category, they can save up to 40% of energy consumption.

Compared with traditional lead-acid batteries, BYD lithium iron phosphate batteries do not require regular maintenance, have a longer service life and low energy consumption.
