When many companies buy forklifts, they will consider the service life of the forklift. After all, forklift equipment is expensive, so the question is: how long is the service life of the forklift? Does the country stipulate the mandatory retirement period?
Many people say that the service life of forklifts is 10 years, and some people say that according to the country's regulations on motor vehicles, it is 15 years. In fact, the above two statements have a certain basis, but strictly speaking, these two answers are not accurate enough, and listen to good luck for you.
Forklifts are special equipment vehicles on site, and the state does not have relevant regulations for compulsory scrapping of forklifts.
However, it does not mean that forklifts can be used indefinitely. According to the standards currently implemented by the Quality Supervision Bureau, forklifts that fall under the first phase of the national emission standards are currently not registered and inspected, that is to say, those manufactured before July 1, 2004 Forklift trucks are required by the state to be scrapped. Calculated in this way, the service life of the forklift is about 15 years.
If we start with forklift manufacturing, when forklift manufacturers produce forklifts, they generally design and produce them with a service life of 20,000 hours. If the forklift is used for 8 hours/day, 22 working days/month, 20,000 hours can be used for about 9 and a half years, half a year less than the 10 years that everyone said. Therefore, if your factory uses a longer time every day, the more working days per month, the shorter the service life of the forklift. Of course, this is under normal maintenance conditions. If the maintenance is not good, the service life will be shorter.
Of course, in actual use, if the forklift reaches the end of its use, the failure rate and shutdown rate will be very high, and the value of repair will decrease. I believe everyone will not repair it again. This is an economic drive to achieve the purpose of scrapping.
To sum up: Due to the difference in operating conditions, quality of maintenance, and duration of use, the service life of forklifts is unscientific in general. You can use 20,000 hours or 9 years as a reference.
